Terms & Conditions

NOTE : For the purpose of this document the terms ‘us’ and ‘we’ refer to Castley Farm Kennels, Castley Lane, Castley, LS21 2PY and ‘you’ and ‘your’ refer to the owner of the boarding cat.

 

1. OWN RISK: We will take every care and consideration with your cat, which is accepted solely at your risk. You are welcome to bring your cat's own bedding and toys should you wish, these are brought at your own risk and will not be replaced by us. Castley Farm Kennels & Cattery cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to property, possessions or vehicles, howsoever caused, whilst on the premises. Boarding multiple cats in the same chalet is at your own risk and only cats from the same household may share a chalet.

 

2.SAFETY : All cats must be transported to and from the cattery in a secure and suitable cat carrier.

 

3. VACCINATIONS: All cats must be vaccinated against Feline Leukaemia, Feline Infectious Enteritis, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Feline Calicivirus and Panleucopenia. All vaccinations must be up to date. Should the vaccination be due to expire during your cat's stay with us, please ensure that the renewal vaccine is given prior to the cat's stay. A minimum of two weeks from finishing an initial vaccination course is required. We are unable to and will not accept any cat for boarding without sight of a valid, up to date vaccination card. Please also ensure your cat is up to date with flea and worm treatment.

 

4. HEALTH: You warrant that any cat admitted for boarding is fit, sound and healthy. We reserve the right to refuse any cat not fit for boarding at our discretion.You must draw attention to any traits or vices that your cat may have. You authorise veterinary treatment to be carried out should it be considered necessary at our discretion, during the period of boarding. You will be required to settle any vet bills that may arise should your cat require veterinary treatment whilst boarding at our facilities and these will  be payable on collection of your cat. Should your cat require veterinary treatment, they will be treated at Tower Wood Veterinary Group, 27 Tinshill Road, Leeds, LS16 7DR, unless prior arrangements have been made with us.

 

5. MEDICATION/SPECIALIST CARE: If medication/specialist care is required, this will be administered/undertaken provided your cat will accept without resistance. Specialist care is given at our discretion and we reserve the right to charge an additional daily fee for this service. You must provide full instructions and a medical history which can be obtained from your vet. If a cat has a medical condition of any sort we must be notified at the time of booking. If we have not had prior notification, we reserve the right to refuse your cat for admission.

 

6.NEUTERING: Cats over six months are only accepted if neutered.

 

7.OPENING HOURS: Monday-Saturday 8-10am and 4-6pm. All cats must be dropped off and collected within these specified opening times. Charges are per day. The day of arrival is charged in full regardless of an am or pm drop off and the day of departure is charged if you collect your cat in the afternoon between 4-6pm. Should you be unable to collect your cat in person, your representative must bring proof of identity, state the password agreed upon admission and be in a position to make full payment, before the cat(s) are handed over. Should this be the case, please notify us in advance.

 

8.FAILURE TO COLLECT: You authorise the re-homing/sale/disposal of your cat in the most appropriate way possible should you fail to collect your cat within ten days of the end of the boarding period and fail to contact us to provide an explanation. Every effort will be made to come to a reasonable arrangement prior to taking this action.

 

9.CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations must be advised a minimum of four weeks prior to the date of arrival, or the full amount due will be invoiceable.  In the event of no notification, the full amount will be invoiced to you. Refunds will not be given for an early collection before the date stated on your booking form. Deposits are non refundable.

 

10.PAYMENT: Payment can be made by cash/credit/debit card or BACS transfer. We reserve the right to request non-refundable deposits and all prices are subject to change. Payment is due at the start of your cats holiday. We reserve the right to retain your cat at Castley Farm Kennels & Cattery until full payment is received. Any extra days incurred will be charged at the standard rate.

 

11.GROOMING: The grooming of cats will be carried out as necessary (please note - we DO NOT provide any form of bathing/clipping/cosmetic grooming service). Please provide us with your own grooming equipment (brushes etc) that your cat is used to and tolerant of. However, Castley Farm Kennels & Cattery will not be held responsible to groom a cat which becomes distressed and risks injury to itself or a staff member.
